Adori Office is an electro-psych-pop duo I started last August with vocalist/songwriter Andrea Kanya. Our first single "Effing Love" was released online on 12 March, 2nd single is coming in mid-April, the full album titled "We Should Not Sing" is scheduled for 27 May.

RE - ne rework album now online, FREE download

Until I'm ready with the next proper Cliponville OrkEstra album (which is likely to happen at some point between November 2012 and April 2013...) that will be pretty different from what I did before, (like female vocals on most tracks...) here's "RE", a rework album with 9 tracks. Not remixes, but reworks.

Korábban már szóba került e blogban a berriloom nevű hazai elektro-post rock duó. Remek zenéjük erősen inspirált, így született ez a remix is.

Earlier I have discussed Hungarian electro-post rock duo berriloom in this blog. Their sounds are truly amazing and full of inspiring moments so I simply felt I had to do this remix.

Dub Fx remix

Csak mostanság fedeztem fel Dub Fx munkásságát és mondhatom leesett az állam. Nem is ragozom ezt tovább, sokan és sok helyen lelkendeztek már erről az ausztrál srácról (nem mellesleg május 21-én Budapesten lép fel a TF udvarban..). Inspirálnak Dub Fx zenéi ezért készítettem egy remixet 'Wandering Love' c. trackjéből. Több átszabás-dolgozás is várható a közeljövőben.

I have only recently discovered Dub Fx and I can say I am stunned. This Aussie guy is simply mindblowing in many ways but this is where I stop the raving as it is not necessary, most of you out there know how amazing Dub Fx is. Anyway, I got in in the inspired mood listeing to his tunes so I remixed one of his tracks which is called 'Wandering Love'. More similar attempts may be expected from me but don't take this as a threat. Ha!

EMA: Past Life Martyred Saints (2011)

A borítót látva rögtön előítéleteim lettek: itt egy énekesnő aki a saját monogramját hordja a nyaka körül, jobbkezének feltartott mutató- és középső ujjából árad a fény...mi lesz ebből? A most 22 éves Erika M. Anderson bemutatkozó albumának zenei anyaga azonban eloszlatja a sötét felhőket. A saját magát digitális média-művésznek és gitárpusztítónak aposztrofáló fiatal hölgy hangja és dalai valamiféle (túl) korán szerzett érettségről árulkodnak. Ki tudja, talán az egyetlen,  2007-ben megjelent 'Red State' c. ominózus lemezével kétes hírnevet szerző majd 2010-ben megszűnő Gowns tagjaként kapott egy életre meghatározó impulzusokat...  Akárhogy és akármiért is, a Past Life Martyred Saints mocskos-folkos-lofis-pszichedelikus-nojzos zenéje és EMA sokszínű, a kislányos dalolástól a rekedt, szétcseszett torkú punk énekesnőn át a suttogásig megszólaló hangja így együtt gondoskodnak arról, hogy minimum ígéretesnek nevezzük a művésznőt.

Looking the artwork of 'Past Life Martyred Saints' gave me doubts and worries; young girl with her own initials around her neck, her right hand pointing upwards a-la Jesus Christ projecting light...what could this be anyway? Well, the music on 22-year old Erika M. Anderson's debut chases all the shadows of doubt away. EMA describes herself as a digital media artist and guitar destroyer. She certainly has a taste for raw guitar sounds (and happens to like good ol' vintage Fender Mustangs, Jazzmasters, etc...).  But what really strikes me is her far-too-mature sounding voice. I mean she sounds way out of her age. She sounds experienced, in life, that is. Maybe it's her time with the now defunct Gowns that brings all this out of her, I don't know. 
I also like how EMA plays around with her voice which wanders from girlish singing to the punk-rock singer with a worn-out throat while it has a lot of other different colors and tones in between to offer. Impressive, really. This and her dirty-psychedelic-noise-experimental-folk combo make her debut a lot more that promising.

Delicate Steve: Wondervisions (2009 - 2011 reissue) 

A Delicate Steve-et a New Jersey-ből valósi Steve Marion jegyzi. A Stevie Wonder által 1973-ban kiadott 'Innervisions' c. lemezt  - címében és a borító artworkjében legalábbis bizonyosan -  idéző Wondervisions még 2009-ben jelent meg, de David Byrne kiadója (Luaka Bop) mostanság fedezte fel magának, így újra hozzáférhetővé vált, ezúttal talán szélesebb közönség felé is utat találva magának. Nem meglepő, hogy Byrne kiadója boldogan bevállalta a Delicate Steve-et; színes, vidám, játékos, a műfaj határait egészségesen feszegető experimentális-instrumentális-elektro afropop zenét kapunk tőle. Valamiért szeretem újra és újra meghallgatni. Talán mert jó, azért.

Delicate Steve is the moniker for New Jersey-based Steve Marion. 'Wondervisions' was originally released in 2009 but Luaka Bop, David Byrne's world music label decided to rerelease it in 2011. I'm not surprised at this as 'Wondervision' (there are some heavy references here to Stevie Wonder's  '73 album 'Innervisions' , even the artworks have similarities...) has some vibrant, colorful and playful experimental-instrumental-electro afropop to offer. For some reason I like to come back to this album which, to me, has a huge re-listen potential. Maybe because it's a good album.

Nem mintha nem kéne már aludnom, de ha ilyen jó zenére bukkanok, akkor hallgatni kell. És persze kicsit írni is róla. A berriloom két magyar srác duója. Kicsit experimentális, kicsit ambient, kicsit post rock, kicsit elektronikus. És nagyon jó.

What they do is a little experimental, a little ambient, a little post rock, a little electronic. And very.very good.
