Grails: Deep Politics (2011)

Végre! Annyi egyforma post-rock után egy igazán remek album. Kicsit elhúztam az elektronika irányába az elmúlt időszakban, épp ideje volt a balanszot helyrebillenteni. Gyönyörűség, amit ez az oregoni kvartett művel. Post-rock, neofolk, ambient, pszichedelia. Semmi túlzó terjengősség, minden egyensúlyban van. A Grails a legjobb dolog, ami post-rock aspektusban történt velem a God Speed You! Black Emperor  felfedezése óta.

At last ! The post rock genre has diluted a bit lately with several bands doing pretty much the same: lengthy instrumental compositions, primarily based  on guitars/bass/drums.  I haven't heard of Grails until today and this was a mistake, obviously. They are different, colorful, full of surprises, balanced. Post rock, neofolk, ambient, psychedelia, score. Grails are the best post-rock related thing that  had happened to me since I first heard God Speed You! Black Emperor. 'Deep Politics' has already made it to my Best of 2011 Albums collection.
